One Hard Week

I don't know really where to begin....and I am not even going to try to explain everything that has happened this week. This has just been one hard week! (I will throw in there that for those of you that are getting worried-everyone is physically fine, and the baby is fine-no worries).
I can say that I am not sure there has ever been a time in my life that I have truly felt the prayers surrounding my family, before this week. The events of this past weekend should have been enough to throw me into full blown panic attack. I will be the first one to admit that I am a HUGE worrier and I get extremely stressed out. But this time it was different and that is the whole purpose of this post.

You might remember ( or not) about two months ago I posted about a book that a fabulous friend brought me, Rain on Me, well I have been reading it and truly praying about the message it shares and for me it has made all of the difference in the world. I, for the first time, realize that it is not about me and what I do or do not deserve it's about God and his everlasting love for me. I can not control the situations that arise in my life. All I can do is turn them over to him and know that he is right beside me through it all. The book stated that " God doesn't promise us no pain, he promises to never leave us".

Because of this understanding, I know that everything is going to be fine. Things are getting better. Thank you for all of your prayers and your friendship!

Now just for smiles, here are some of our vacation pictures! We had a fabulous time!

Star in the Making

Ashlynn had her first day of dance class today. She had so much fun! When we got home I asked her to show me what she had learned. Here is a short video of her tapping. Sorry I know it is sideways....you know me not so good with the technology.

Happy 4th of July

What a fabulous weekend it has been. Marshal and I went to Eureka Springs with some friends Friday night to ring in her 30th birthday. We had such a good time. Don't get me wrong being a momma is absolutely fabulous, but it was really nice to have a little get away and spend some couple time. I am including a couple of pictures and yes I am drinking White Zinfandel with my pregnant belly sticking out....no worries it was non-alcoholic (I didn't even know they made such a thing...it tasted like watered down cranberry juice) but it at least gave me something to toast the birthday girl with! Marshal, Ashlynn, and I had an equally fun Saturday night at the fireworks show. Ashlynn hates the loud noises of the fireworks so her daddy let her wear his shooting ear muffs (I am sure those have a more proper name, but I of course wouldn't have a clue about that). She loved it! She was so sweet...she was in between Marshal and I holding both of our hands....one of those moments you thank God for and the troubles of the world seem a million miles away.

So her mother's child

Well there is no mistaking that Ashlynn is so my child!!! Everyone that even half way knows me knows that I LOVE food! Especially desserts; although a big steak comes in a close second (as Marshal always so nicely points out...."Andrea can put away more meat than anyone I've ever seen"). Any way had to share these pictures of Ashlynn from Tuesday. Yes she is eating all of this on the same day. I know, I know votes are just flying in to nominate me as mother of the year!
