Today was a hard day. It seems as if everyone around me needs prayers. I believe we all need prayers each day-those aren't the type of prayers I am talking about. So many of my friends are hurting right now in one way or another. I am just so thankful that we have a God that is big enough to hear all of our prayers and a God that knows us and knows how to take care of all our needs. I hope all of you out there know that I do truly pray for you. I am so thankful that I have so many friends to pray for.

Ok so a little lighter note....Here is a picture of Ashlynn playing Rockband with her daddy.

Happy Easter Sign with snow falling around it

Today is the last day of spring break and what is it doing, snowing! So I have decided since it is not spring like maybe we should re-do spring break. Any one else? Come on maybe if we all vote. Ok I guess I need to get back to the real world because it is ready for me whether I am ready or not.
I do have a praise to share: We got Ashlynn's MRI results back and there is no sign of spinal cord tethering. Thank you to everyone that sent prayers our way. I do believe we are on our way to having all of the answers we have been searching for.

Faking It

Ashlynn had her Easter pictures taken today! I take her every year to Bedford’s in Rogers where one of our favorite photographers (Leslie) works. Ashlynn’s favorite part of the shoot is the live bunnies that Leslie lets her hold and cuddle. I have to say though that today’s photos were not my favorite. Ashlynn would not stop looking at the camera and giving these completely fake smiles. Oh well here are a couple that I of course think are adorable since she is my child.

Today my mom was in the big town of Russellville and ran into one of our friends that still lives in town. Her daughter and I graduated together. My mom got her blog address and I thought it was so wonderful to get to see her blog and what she is up to these days. I have also blogs to be so inspiring. As many of you know, I had a miscarriage in November. To be honest I have had a very hard time dealing with the whole thing. Through the last several months I have found so much peace and healing through other people’s blogs. All of the bloggers have very different situations then ours, but just being able to see how each person’s faith has carried them through is truly begun a process of healing I never expected to find. I also have heard from so many people that blogging allows them to say what they need to say. Emotions are too easy to “fake” in person, with a blog there is no reason for faking it.

Golf and MRI's

Sunday was another beautiful day for Golf! I am amazed at how many of my friends and co-workers didn’t know I play golf. It seems like every time I mention that I went golfing people that have known me for years act shocked that I golf. This seems crazy to me because I golf almost every Sunday after church. Apparently I never talk about it, even though this is my second blog post about it…….
Unfortunately Miss Ashlynn was still napping this Sunday so I don’t have pictures of her but I am including one of me and one of Marshal.

On another subject- Ashlynn had her MRI today. What a complete mess that was. I have to say a huge thank you to Mercy Hospital as our nurse Patsy and Radiologist tech Kerri were so patient and kind to us. Ashlynn spit out two different doses of her sedative and fought going to sleep like nobody’s business. We finally bribed her into laying “still” on the machine, which come on let’s face it is impossible for a four year old. After about forty five minutes of doing and re-doing scans they finally got what they needed. I thought I was going to pull my hair out! Lots of prayers were said and I am so very thankful that we got it done and hopefully are through with all of the testing on our poor baby. I was talking to my mom this morning about how Ashlynn has been through more test and hospital visit then our entire family combine. The last two years have made me so thankful that God blessed us with such a healthy child. Dysfunctional Voiding aside Ashlynn has been very happy and healthy. I will be the first to admit that I have questioned, begged, and yelled at God for having to going through all of this. But most of all I have realized how truly amazing He is and how blessed we are.

Happy Birthday Baby!

Oh my goodness! my baby is 4 years old today! I can't believe it. I promise you it seems like yesterday that she was born! Time has flown by so fast!

Ashlynn's birthday party was so wonderful! She and 11 of her little friends had a blast at The Little Gym. I thought she looked adorable in her cute little birthday outfit and she of course thought she was a princess! I thought the only down fall of the whole day was the workers at Little Gym served the cake and I tell you I thought I was going to cry at the sight of all of the Rick's cake going to waste. Ya'll know how I am about my Rick's!

There were days I thought I would never finsh and today FINALLY I finshed and mailed it off. The problem......what am I going to do with myself? Seriously. I went staright from getting my masters degree to National Boards and now I have nothing to do. Wow, maybe I can go back to actually keeping my house clean (those of you that know me stop laughing!).

Get ready because tomorrow is Ashlynn's birhtday so I will have lots of pictures to share!

Absolutely Perfect

As far as golf weather goes you can't get much better than today! It was absolutely perfect! Warm with a slight I could stay out there all day. Oh well ok I take that back...if my golfing abilities were a little more perfect, I could stay out there all day.

Marshal and I actually took Ashlynn on her first golfing outing ever! She loved it! I was such a bad mom though and didn't even take my camera. She played the first three holes and then decided she had enough of that. She then became the official golf cart driver. That was scary let me tell you. She is so independent that she had to steer and had to push the pedals, watch out is all I have to say! She also took on the job of flag holder on the green and she LOVED the sand trap because she got to rake the sand. Needless to say I can't quit my day job yet to follow her around on the LPGA.

Next time pictures, I promise!

Picture Happy

Thanks to my awesome friend Melissa I have FINALLY learned how to put pictures on my blog!!! I know I am a total loser! Now if I can just figure out spell check on this sucker I can start telling people I have a blog...(HA) I guess I shouldn't worry about it as everyone that truly knows me knows I can spell worth crap, but man I hate embarrassing myself!
